Ishmael is a fast learner and Jasper a great mentor.

His power has grown to enormous proportions and Jasper has helped him to see his true potential.

How they have suppressed knowledge and kept man from reaching his true potential.
He told him of the Nephilim.
The children of fallen angels who still walked the earth and caused chaos.
They had the ability to influence minds and could read them just as Jasper and he could.
He also told him of people like themselves who have sold out to the system... Become a part of it.
They are the ones who hunt people like Jasper and himself.
Today is a very special occasion for Ishmael...
Today he takes the test.
As he dresses he thinks about all these things and more.
He is not nervous, he never has been, yet he is wondering what the test entails.
He opens the door to his room and walks down the hall.
He stops and looks at the painting that hangs there.
Jasper told him that this man was Menelik and that he was the son of King Solomon and the queen of Sheba whose name was Makeda.
He had told him the story of how king Solomon wooed the queen.
She was so impressed by his intelligence that she became one of Solomon's wives and became pregnant with Menelik.
She being the strong woman she was went back to her kingdom and raised the child.
When the boy came of age she sent him to live with his father who taught him the things he knew.
He went on to tell Ishmael of Solomon's unique power which he inherited from his Father David.
The ability to speak to and overstand animals.
How a mere ant had saved an entire army.
How in the end Menelik had brought the ark of the covenant to Ethiopia.
How he was called the wisest of men.
Ishmael looks at the painting once again and goes down the stairs to meet Jasper who stands at the bottom.
Jasper takes something from his pocket and holds it out to Ishmael.
It is a rock.
Ismael takes it and he is suddenly transported to another time... He is in a clearing in a forest and there is a fire.
Sitting across from him there is a woman and he knows that the fire that shines in her face was made with this rock and that it is called a flint rock.
He knows that she is the real reason for this flight and that he will love her until she dies.
He looks at Jasper and there is a look on his face that explains it all.
It is not sadness but resolve.
Jasper says "That is yours now."
They walk out of the door and down the stairs to the sidewalk.
The test awaits.
