HAIKU IN RETROSPECT

[HAIKU IN RETROSPECT]
THE MUSIC FOR THIS WINDING WALK... LISTEN AS YOU TAKE IN THE EXIBIT...
NEVER DONE HAIKU BEFORE SO BE LIGHT ON ME.

[WINTER KILL]

BREATH OF AIR CONDENSED

WINTER ON COLD WIND ARRIVES
WARM STEEL OF PISTOL GRIP

[HER NATURE]

She like summers day

Warm light filtering through leaves.
Glint of blade revealed

[ON THE PORCH]

Hummingbird hanging

Suspended visually
Thunder distantly

[REJUVENATED]

Son of suns drips tears

Sucked into the dirt, filtered
Rain so pure falling

[THE DESCENT]

Angels wings raising dust

Clouds of biting grains swirling
Man fluttering down

HER NATURE
Light through sundress streams

Hint of mound, caress of breast
Revealed in detail

[JILTED BRIDE]
Dreary day dawns grey

Heavy clouds full of moisture
The bride in white dress

[THE BATTLEFIELD]
Warriors stand ranked

Wind caresses their faces
Flowers bloom vibrantly

[WOMAN DEM]
Woman standing still

Face of stone catching moons light
Cricket in grass plays

[THE TRUTH]
Man transfixed by sky

Meteor flames in freefall
Trust dies savagely fast

[THE  DARK SINGS]
Darkness call's deeply

Reverberating off walls
Soul torn asunder

[FARTHER AWAY]
The Boy cries head bowed

Moon rising from the treeline
Father tills the soil

  1. Like everything else you tackle, excellence is the outcome. I notice a build in the strength of your haiku as you continue. I truly loved reading.
