DAMN IT ASH

I felt that an introduction was needed to introduce this next poem. I rarely dedicate poems to females in my notes. I mean I have written poems for female friends of mine but they are usually anonomous. The reason that I wanted to introduce this is because this is the first poem that I have ever written dedicated to a woman who was not of color. I debated this because of reasons that some of you may not overstand [not easy,not easy at all]. but reasoning won out. So this poem goes out to a good friend of mine who is as crazy as a poet comes...Ashley LyricalGymnist Diaz!!!

 

LIKE A SHOTGUN BLAST ON A QUIET NIGHT WAS YOUR ENTRANCE INTO MY INNER CIRCLE...SURPRISED AT THE STEED THAT YOU RODE.

YOUR WORDS SO TIGHTLY WOUND YET SO LOOSE IN BURNING FREEFALL...A SHE POETIC BEAST WITH A PEN PERCHED ON THE HIGHEST CLIFF OF KNOWING.

THE WAY THAT YOU RIP A SCRIPT IS VERBAL ILLUMINATION SO IMPRESSIVE THAT I STOOD IN AWE...STAND WITH DROPPED JAW.

WHITE CHOCOLATE SO SWEET THAT YOUR PSYCHE SEEM TO MELT PON MINE...PON MINDS...GOT MORE STYLE THAN PIMPED OUT CADILLACS AT A CAR SHOW.

THE INNER YOU CROSSES LINES DRAWN IN THE SANDS...KIND OF LIKE A PROPHETESS IN A SAVAGE POETIC LAND.

BY THE INK THAT YOU ELICIT...BY THE NATURE THAT YOU PRESENT...DOORS SPLINTER AND SHATTER IN THE WAKE OF YOU.

A BIRD IN A FOREST OF BURNT OUT DREAMS...WHERE SO MANY ARE LOST...MENTALLY DISEASED.

FEATHERS THAT SHINE IN LUMINOUS IRADESCENCE... A PHOENIX FROM THE FLAMES...EMPRESS ARISE.

ANNOITED ART THOU IN THE FIRES OF REALISED VISUALITY...WE WALK THIS PATH AS FRIENDS...STEEPED IN COMMONALITY...POETRY THAT TEARS DOWN PERCEPTIONS.
