Today we are going to talk about one of my heros and compare him to other great historical figures. We are also going to delve into perceptions and how the man that controls history and mass media has the means to affect thought patterns and the way that actions are viewed whether positive or negative. The man that we are going to talk about today was NAT TURNER the man who led the most terrifying and misunderstood insurrection in America prior to the Civil War.

This revolution has been called a rebellion, a murderous act and an insurection. Yet it has never been called what it should have been, an act of a man, of a people seeking freedom standing against the oppressive system which held men and women in a state of slavery and degradation. This act has never been called heroic by these same people who call Andrew Jackson and Thomas Jefferson heros. By these same people who went and fought for the freedom of Jews in the second world war, who fought against the "tyranny" of Hitler and Mussolini while hanging black men and women for minor infractions like forgetting to say sir to them. Who considered your ancestors and me as little more than animals. I always tell these new age "AFRICAN AMERICANS" that I was born at my grandmothers house because niggers could not be born in the hospital where I was born. This was only 45 years ago.

Okay lets first look at the actions of the supposed heros of the white heros. Andrew Jackson was an avowed racist who hated both Indians and black so much that he lived his life to hunt them down and kill them. He was given a pair of boots made of the skin of a Native American and he wore them to many functions during his term as the 7th President of the United States. This was a man who cut out the heart of a Native American and a Black man in north Florida and held them beating in his hand as the families and the people who participated in the insurrections watched, they were then all killed. On to Thomas Jefferson the 3rd president of the United States of America a man who owned numerous slaves and raped a woman named Sally Hemings. In recent years the medeia has been trying to paint a picture of this relationship as a loving one, yet this great man denied his children by this woman the basic right of freedom. I could go on and on proving the animalistic and beastly nature of these men but I think that it is time that I got back to the story of our hero.

This is a short synopsis of the actins of NAT TURNER from wikipedia:Nathaniel "Nat" Turner (October 2, 1800 – November 11, 1831) was an American slave who led a slave rebellion in Virginia on August 21, 1831 that resulted in 56 white deaths and over 55 black deaths[2], the largest number of fatalities to occur in one uprising prior to the American Civil War in the southern United States. He gathered supporters in Southampton County, Virginia. Turner was convicted, sentenced to death, and executed. In the aftermath, the state executed 56 blacks accused of being part of Turner's slave rebellion. Two hundred blacks were also beaten and killed by white militias and mobs reacting with violence. Across Virginia and other southern states, state legislators passed new laws prohibiting education of slaves and free blacks, restricting rights of assembly and other civil rights for free blacks, and requiring white ministers to be present at black worship services.

To me every action of NAT TURNER and the other freedom fighters was justified including the killing of the women and children. In Iraq and Afghanistan today when a house that holds a "terrorist" is bombed all the people in it die. Children, mama, daddy, grandma, grandpa and all the dogs die. in many cases these bombings take out whole blocks of the cities that they happen in. In Israel when a house where a suspeted 'terrorist leader is bombed everyone dies. There is even a name for these deaths. Its called collateral damage. So we will chalk up the deaths of all these supposed innocents that NAT and his people killed as collateral damage as well.

We all pretty much know the rest of the story of NAT TURNER.He was snitched out by a "nigger" and captured on October 30. 1831. What is not told in many of the history books is the method of his death. It is listed as hanging, but before he was hanged he was flayed , meaning he was skinned, his skin was boiled down after his death until it was a grease which all the slaves on the plantation that he came from and all the surrounding ones were made to rub all over their bodies. What a psychological factor that must have been to all the slaves who heard of this method of death.

So to all the people who tote out the black inventors and all the peaceful fighters of our race I say more power to you. But you have to remember that there is no instance on earth of a people gaining freedom without warriors. That is why NAT TURNER is one of my heros.
