Time to just get to the meat of the issue.
Religion and its role in the condition of the modern African people.
Religion has been the factor that is overlooked so many times when we look at slavery, segregation and the condition that we find ourselves in right now. Religion was used to justify the act of slavery and the conditions that the slaves suffered under. The very thought that it was okay to force people to accept ones view of god was in itself the most heinous thought that formed in a mans mind. In the minds of the masses.
In order to overstand the psychology of our condition we have to also be aware that the concepts of modern christianity have been corrupted to the very core. What we have before us today is not the religion that Yeshua [jesus] brought to the people. It is a hybrid of pagan rituals and visions of supremacy. It has been the factor in mass murder and genocide and still remains one of the most mysterious religions in the world. Many of its followers have absolutely no idea what they follow yet they will attest to its validity at any time even when it is clear that what they are saying makes absolutely no sense at all.
If christianity was the religion that it has been made to seem then the white people of this country would have handled things a whole lot different and there would be harmony by now but that is not the case. Many of our ancestors died in the shadow of the cross, hanging from oak trees yet so many of us still subscribe to the religion of our oppressors who still use it as a method of control as they paint pictures of all other religions as pagen and idolotrous. As they paint the picture that we are the children of Ham. Like our history began in shame.
Yet how can that be the case if all human life originated in Africa? There is art from africa that is much older than what was found in the pyramids so why is the image of the white egyptian so prevalent in movies and in popular culture?
It is because of a sustained campaign of miseducation and the christian church is at the roots of this campaign. There are images of the madonna much older than what the modern church portrays which show her and yeshua as black but they are ignored in favor of images which portray caucasion characters.
For anyone to think that this is not a factor in the way that black people are treated by this society and others is what is the underlying problem. It is what has led to our present state in which many of us think that we "need" massa to think for us, to have to "be" like massa. I hope that you got what I said then. In our wanting to be like massa we have lost ourselves and been duped into being the least knowledgeable of who we are and where we came from as all the while our history and role in mans place has been twisted and distorted.
So in closing this short lesson I want to say "The only way to be who you are supposed to be is in knowing who you are"
PEACE!!!
